Position Description:

The TROOP SCOUTMASTER heads the Troop's Scouting program. The Scoutmaster and his Assistant Scoutmasters work directly with the Scouts. In general, they train and guide boy leaders, work with other responsible adults to bring the Scouting program to the boys and use the Scout Oath and Scout Law to help boys grow into responsible young men. The Scoutmaster is the liaison between the Scouts and the Committee.

Committee Chair & Charter Organization Representative:  Tommy Horsley

Position Description:

Troop Committee Chairperson: The committee chairperson serves as the "chairman of the board", the board being the troop committee.

Charter Organization Representative: The COR is responsible for overseeing the operations of the troop. The COR serves as the "chief executive officer". His main responsibility is the Committee of the troop, approving policy changes and adult leaders. The COR is the liaison between the Sponsoring Organization and the Troop.

Position Description:

Handles all troop funds. Pays all bills and maintains the troop checking and savings accounts, as well as the individual accounts of active scouts and adult leaders. Responsible for developing the troop's annual budget. Reports to the troop committee.

Position Description:

Maintains all troop advancement records. Monitors individual advancement and encourages scouts to advance in rank. Maintains an in-house merit badge counselor list. Prepares for Courts of Honor. Reports to the troop committee.

Position Description:

Ensure troop leaders and committee members have opportunities for training and encourage all adult leaders become fully trained. Encourage periodic Junior Leader Training within the troop and at the council and national levels. Reports tot he troop committee.

Position Description:

Keeps minutes of the committee meetings and any important records. Works with troop Scribe to help maintain the attendance records of the scouts. Reports to the troop committee.

Fund Raising Coordinator:  <Vacant>

Position Description:

Plans for and coordinates fundraising activities. Responsible fro arranging for ticket pre-sales, advertising for the activity, enlisting Scouts' participation, purchase of necessary supplies and reporting the outcome of the fundraising activity to the Scoutmaster, Treasurer and the troop committee.
